June 2013 Meeting

We are pleased to announce that our Guest speaker this month is Sarpy County Attorney Lee Polikov. Lee will be speaking and doing a Q&A.

It is important to note, as seen on the Agenda below, there will be two Resolutions & Party Platform items up for vote. The first will deal with opposing the national education Common Core standards. The second will deal with opposing Agenda 21 and its implementation.

We had an energy packed group come out for the 2013 La Vista Daze Parade. We had the pleasure of having some of Nebraska’s finest elected officials join us. All totaled up we had 35 Adults, 16 Children, & 1 Dog.

Kintner talks about last two weeks of spending sprint

The Legislature is now in the final seven legislative days and it will be a battle to avoid having our state end the 2013 legislative session with bloated state spending.

A two-year budget was passed by the Legislature that would grow state General Fund spending – that is your sales tax and income tax dollars – by 5.2 percent over the next two state fiscal years.
